MET GALA : “WELCOME TO WAKANDA”
Since 1948 the Met Gala has been the highlight event of the year celebrating the power of art and creativity housed at the Metropolitan Art Gallery. Every year the Met Gala picks a theme and guests arrive in the most creatively eccentric gowns and tuxedos showing their own expression of that year’s theme.
In that same celebration of creativity, people, passion, and purpose Passport University is hosting this year’s gala with the freedom of expression found at the Met Gala. Our theme is “Welcome to Wakanda” celebrating the heritage that runs deep in our Historically Black College and University campuses. We want to use this opportunity to welcome alumni, students, & professionals to an evening of royalty and ethnic richness!
CELEBRATE, NETWORK, LOOK GOOD & ALL FOR A GREAT CAUSE!
Costumes for this event are HIGHLY encouraged, but not a requirement. We do however expect the minimum of traditional black tie attire. This will be one for the books that you won’t want to miss! Join us for a night of creative royal expression of heritage and celebration of culture. This annual fundraiser is sure to be a night to remember! Help us reach our goal and impact HBCUs across the state of North Carolina!
